Today Austin's Senior Design group displayed their design of the Adaptive Snowboard during Desing Day at the Union. They had to give a presentation on their project and recieved an A+! It was great to be able to see all the different ideas and designs from other groups...It's definatley the Engineers of this world that keep it on its axis cause there were some amazing products! Some pretty crazy and some quite practical. Austin's team recieved several offers from potential customers who hope to see their product on the market soon. They had a great video demonstration (shown below) of the snowboard and rider boarding the chairlift without any problems and carving down the slope with ease...Great job guys! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of this eventful day cause I can't find my camera ANYWHERE!!!!(Thanks for the jinx, Aubrey!!)
Hopefully I can retrieve it in the near future:o)

- There once was a boy who fell in love with a girl. They were married in a beautiful castle. They have been blessed with two beautiful princesses, and this is their fairytale...

Happy Easter!
Elena woke up this morning not even remembering that the Easter Bunny had come. Then we told her to look for her basket and she was so excited. When I told her I wanted to get some pictures of her with her basket, the only thing she could think about was posing for the camera and not about what treats she recieved. Needless to say that as the day went on she eventually dug to the bottom to check out every piece.

Go Team Adaptive Snowboard!
So Austin's Senior Design group's project is an adaptive snowboard for parapalegics. It is an amazing project that they all have worked so hard. They recently took their idea including a prototype and slide presentation of the snowboard actually working and competed in a competition calledthe Tech Titans. The competition is for people who have ideas for products that need a patent. His group didn't win; however, the team did recieve the humanitarian award and $500 toward their project. We are so proud of them and their hard work on this incredible invention. By the way, the only pic I have of the actual snowboard is the one with elena in it!
Here we go again!
Okay, so I finally got around to creating our blog again. The first attempt fell through and I ended up deleting everything (don't ask) so I thought I'd give it another go. :o) We have had so much going on with our lives we are excited that we'll be able to share it all with family and friends!! We'll do our best to help keep you up on current events!
